Patricia Aguilar

Patricia is a licensed chemical dependency counselor since 2007. Her preferred therapeutic method is more of a holistic approach. This includes Clinical hypnosis with rapid resolution trauma(RRT) since 2015 and Qigong since 2013. She is currently Alpha Recovery Centre’s Anger Management instructor.

She oversees operations for all three Alpha Recovery Centre locations.

Andrea Aguilar

Andrea is the Executive Assistant for Alpha Recovery Centre and located in the Midland branch. She has over a decade of experience in procurement management, research and development to help our offices run smoothly, even in the most hectic periods. Whether it is integrating contract changes through our programs or developing a new approach to enhance the experience of our clients, Andrea keeps the things running in tip top shape.
Starting by volunteering in Jr. High School, she has always found interest in helping those in need and will help to find resources to get the services you deserve.
Mayra Fierro
Mayra FierroAdministrative Assistant
Mayra Fierro has been with Alpha Recovery Centre since 2009, overseeing administrative functions in the office as an Office Assistant. She directly handles client billing, appointment set up and manages clerical work. She’s always willing to help if you have a question. Prior to working at Alpha Recovery Centre she worked in the medical field as a Certified Medical Assistant for three years. She is married and has three kids. Currently resides in Odessa, TX.
Jennifer Aguilar
Jennifer AguilarAdministrative Assistant
Jennifer Aguilar has been with Alpha Recovery Centre since 2013. She handles billing, appointment setups, as well as administrative and clerical functions. She helps clients apply for local, state and federal benefits. Jennifer is always willing to help with any questions you may have. Prior to working at Alpha Recovery Centre she worked for HHSC for seven years. She is married, has two kids and currently resides in Odessa, TX.


Mary Carrasco
Mary CarrascoMA, NCC, LPC
Mary Carrasco lives in Odessa, Texas; she is married and has 3 children and 7 grandchildren. She graduated from UTPB with a BA in Psychology and a Masters in Education-Counseling. She is licensed by the Texas State Board of Professional Counselors and certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors, Inc. She currently provides specialized trauma-focused mental health services for the clients of Harmony Home CAC. She also provides Mental Health services under contract with FBOP and USPO at Alpha Recovery Centre.
Daniela Espinoza
Daniela EspinozaM.A., LCDC, LPC intern
Daniela Espinoza has been a counselor at Alpha Recovery Centre since 2015. A big believer in therapy, Daniela enjoys guiding people to their solutions. Daniela is a qualified counselor and holds a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from University of Texas of the Permian Basin along being a licensed chemical dependency counselor and licensed professional counselor intern.
Before joining Alpha Recovery Centre in 2015, Daniela worked for four years for a halfway house as a counselor and started at Midland College as a part-time instructor for the drug and alcohol counseling program the same year.
Daniela plans on completing her intern hours and becoming a License Professional Counselor (LPC). Daniela resides in Midland, Texas.
Amber Chavez
Amber ChavezLBSW
Amber Chavez is a licensed bachelor social worker (LBSW). She is licensed through the Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners. Ms. Chavez was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. She moved to the Permian Basin in 2009 to study at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin and graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work in 2013. Ms. Chavez graduated with her masters in counseling in August of 2016. She looks forward to getting her license as a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and LCDC. She has experience working with organizations like Communities in Schools of the Permian Basin and the Boys and Girls Club of Odessa, where she was not only a mentor and an advocate for students and parents, but also a resource and friend. Ms Chavez’s passion is to help youth and adults. She loves to incorporate her passion into her career by helping others.
Ray Mancha
Ray has been in the substance abuse field for 18 years now,. He is 58 yrs old, married, has 4 children and 4 Grandchildren. He is a life long Midlander and is a graduate of Robert E Lee high school and Midland College. Ray is a member of RisenLife Church of God, 7th Day here in Midland. He enjoys watching football and his beloved San Antonio Spurs, camping, and spending time & spoiling his Grandkids. Ray chose to come into the counseling field because of his own struggles earlier in his life, and as he put it “if I can do anything that will prevent anyone else from that struggle, then that is what I am here for”. Ray has a big love for people and enjoys serving those that are in need of help.
Arthur “Art” Mavrode

Art Mavrode is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor who holds a Baccalaureate degree in Secondary Education from Florida International University, a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University, and is a registered Trust-Based Relational Intervention Practitioner by the Texas Christian University’s Purvis Institute of Child Development. He is a husband and father of four children and six grandchildren. Because the vocation of promoting healthy families has been the focus of his life, he specializes in working with children and care givers who have experienced trauma due to abuse and neglect. Before joining Alpha Recovery Centre, Art served as a Foster and Adoptive Home Development Specialist with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. His community action includes service on the Board of Directors for the Tom Green County Community Resource and Coordination Group which assists state and local agencies with the coordination of their services for youth and their families with problems that can be addressed only with the participation of more than one agency. Art retired from the United States Air Force after twenty-one years of service. He is an active life-member of the Disabled American Veterans and is an advocate of veteran services. He has also served a number of church communities as an ordained minister. Art strongly believes in the unique worth of all people and is dedicated to helping each individual and their family realize their greatest potential in life.
Martin Phillips

Martin Phillips has been a licensed counselor for eleven years. He has worked with many different types of modalities. Martin has a passion for change and understands that with guidance, anyone can manifest their success with recovery-minded tools and attitude.
Pete Ruiz
Pete Ruiz is a licensed bachelor social worker (LBSW). He is licensed through the Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners. Mr. Ruiz was raised in Midland, Texas. He graduated from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology in 1989. Mr. Ruiz graduated with his masters in counseling in August of 2016. He looks forward to getting his license as a licensed professional counselor (LPC) . Mr. Ruiz has experience working with organizations like Student Assistance Services as well as Communities in Schools of the Permian Basin and the Boys and Girls Club of Midland where he was the Health Director as well as the Executive Director. Mr. Ruiz has extensive experience in drug and alcohol counseling as well as some crisis intervention. Mr. Ruiz is certified in three different methods of parenting as well as anger management. Mr. Ruiz has a commitment to helping people as well as the community, where he has served on various boards.
